Top of the Town, Newtown, no 17

What a wonderful part of Sydney, Newtown is! I enjoyed exploring this area and looked up at the wide range of largely historical architecture, with its various styles, and wondered about what stories each of these buildings may have.

For these photos, I exaggerated the colours and contrasts, more so with some photos than others. Partly because I wanted some details to stand out more than others, but also because I wanted to give an almost hand-coloured look to these images, in the hope that a sense of 'old time' or perhaps 'happily kitsch' appearances may be produced. The neighbourhood is pretty eclectic in reality, so I'm hoping this style fits in with this aspect of Newtown.
